Acts of Care: Camp Companion

Join us for the latest in our Acts of Care series! We’re pleased to be welcoming Camp Companion to One Discovery Square.

Research tells us that simply petting a dog lowers the stress hormone cortisol, and social interaction between people and animals actually increases levels of the feel-good hormone oxytocin (the same hormone that bonds mothers to babies).

Step away from your desk, take a mental break to destress, and come meet and play with these animals looking for a home. You can get your puppy snuggles in, and if you meet your newest addition and adopt them! Not sure if you are ready for a pet? Camp Companion is always looking for volunteers.
